Obedience Training

There are so many of us who own dogs but have so little time to train them to behave in a way that creates less stress instead of more. What-A Good Puppy offers classes that provide a non-threatening, less stressful environment for you and your dog. There are a variety of classes and services to choose from to suit your needs. Each curriculum includes learning skills, proper care, and health maintenance. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge you need to make your family dog a good puppy!

Doggy Play Care and Tutoring

A great service for people who have dogs at home while they work all day. Dogs will be exercised, socialized, get command reinforcement, and receive excellent care. Extra tutoring on specific issues also available.

Dogs with special needs are welcome.

Puppy Class - 12 wks-6 months

This course will focus on beginning commands and manners. Socialization is a key part of the class as it is most important for your puppy in becoming a healthy adult. You will also learn about preventative health care and preventing bad behaviors.

Basic Training - 6 months +

This class reinforces basic commands/manners and incorporates new skills. You will learn how to correct bad habits that your dog may have formed and will also learn about preventative health care.

AKC Canine Good Citizen

This course serves as a challenge for dogs who have learned the basics. It is also a starter class for those wanting to become therapy dogs. There is a ten item test at the conclusion of the class. When you pass you will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Private Lessons

Available upon request for those who would like individual help or cannot attend a class.

Duke is a certified therapy dog by CGC. He was adopted from a local shelter.
